Every year WHO selects a new topics and the day was chosen to mark WHO’s founding. In 2014 the chosen topic was vector-borne diseases and now in 2015 the topic is food satefy!
We would love if IPSFers would share pictures on this day concerning food safety (i.e., cleaning food, growing own food, how food gets contaminated, healthy things, etc) and tag 3 friends in the pictures. Please use the selected hashtags #SafeFood (will link us to the WHO campaign) and #IPSFawareness.
Foodborne illnesses are usually infectious or toxic in nature and include severe diarrhoea or debilitating infections including meningitis, hepatitis and many others, which may lead to long-lasting disability and death.
